    DOD Ribbons

    1. Medal of Honor

      This is awarded to personnel for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty. 

    2. Navy Cross

      Awarded for actions demonstrating extraordinary heroism and skill under fire, which were unquestionably responsible for the successful outcome of the mission. The recipient must survive the operation.

    3. Victoria Cross

      Awarded for most conspicuous bravery, daring or pre-eminent acts of valor, self-sacrifice or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy.

       

    4. Defense Distinguished Service Medal

      Awarded to officers and non-commissioned officers for exceptionally meritorious leadership in a primary leadership billet for a period of at least one year.

    5. Navy Distinguished Service Medal

      Awarded for exceptional distinguished service in any billet by any member. May only be awarded once per person. 

    6. Silver Star

      Awarded for actions demonstrating extraordinary heroism and skill under fire and which were critical to the successful outcome of the mission. The recipient must survive the operation.

    7. Defense Superior Service Medal

      Awarded to officers and non-commissioned officers for exceptionally meritorious leadership of a secondary billet for a period of at least one year. May only be awarded once per person.

    8. Legion of Merit

      Awarded to members for exceptional service in any secondary billet. May only be awarded once per person.

    9. Navy/Marine Corps Medal

      Awarded for taking the initiative to make critical timely decisions and/or take action on behalf of the unit, and which had a significant positive outcome for the unit as a whole.

    10. Bronze Star with Valor

      Awarded for a single act demonstrating extraordinary heroism and skill while under enemy fire. The recipient must survive the operation.

    11. Bronze Star

      Awarded for skillful or heroic actions over the entire operation where there was no one specific instance of heroism and the contribution was critical to the successful outcome of the operation.

    12. Purple Heart

      Awarded for a single act demonstrating extraordinary heroism and skill while under enemy fire, where the recipient was killed or wounded undertaking the act

    13. Defense Meritorious Service Medal

      Awarded for a single, significant and distinguished contribution to a secondary billet by any member. May only be awarded once per person.

    14. Meritorious Service Medal

      Awarded to any member for exceptional service or contributions that significantly impact the health and morale of the unit in a positive manner. May only be awarded once per person.

    15. Joint Service Commendation Medal

      Awarded to members whose actions or contributions have significantly benefited the members of another unit while in joint operations. Is recommended by the benefited unit's leadership.

    16. Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal

      Awarded for distinguished contributions in any area or for skillful or exceptional actions where there was no one specific instance of heroism.

    17. Joint Service Achievement Medal

      Awarded to personnel who participate in five or more Joint Operations with other armed forces.

    18. Navy Achievement Medal

      Awarded for superior contributions in any area or for skillful or exceptional actions where there was no one specific instance of heroism.

    19. Officer Excellence Award

      Awarded to commissioned officers who perform at a high level consistently over the course of at least two months.

    20. 100+ Wounds Award

      Awarded to members who receive 100 or more wounds in a mission and are brought back into the fight.

    21. Prisoner of War Medal

      Awarded to members who remain exceptionally active in the unit in spite of extreme technical limitations on game play over an extended period.

    22. Navy Good Conduct Medal

      Awarded for each 3 months of total service with good conduct.

    23. Special Operations Service

      Awarded to any member who, in an operation, successfully infiltrates an enemy position using stealth to obtain intelligence or conduct sabotage.

    24. Navy Reserve Meritorious Service Medal

      Awarded to Reserve members who make exceptional contributions to the unit over an extended period.

    25. Navy Expeditionary Ribbon

      Awarded to a member that participates in at least 3 campaigns.

    26. National Defense Service Medal

      Awarded to all members of the unit upon initial duty assignment and participation in at least 1 operation.

    27. Pathfinder Award

      This award is given to personnel who helped lay the foundations of the unit. 

    28. Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal

      Awarded to members of the unit who have real world verifiable service in a combat zone while in their country's Armed Forces.

    29. Honor Graduate Ribbon

      Awarded to a member for completion of various courses as the Honor Graduate.

    30. Armed Forces Service Medal

      Awarded to members of the unit that are assigned to secondary billets in addition to their primary billet. Awarded for each secondary billet, per person, per 12 consecutive months of service. Capped at 10 awards.

    31. Humanitarian Service Medal

      Awarded to any unit member that provides substantive aid to another whether financial, physical, or other, that are vital to their continued participation in the unit.

    32. Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal

      Awarded to members of the unit that provide outstanding service to a non combat department to which they are not assigned.

    33. Donation Ribbon

      Awarded to any member who donates financially to the unit.

    34. Sea Service Ribbon

      Awarded to all members of the unit upon initial duty assignment and satisfactory participation in at least 1 operation in that assignment.

    35. Recruiting Service Ribbon

      Awarded for every 5 members that are recruited and graduate boot camp.

    36. Recruit Training Service Ribbon

      Awarded to qualified instructors who teach any 5 classes as the lead instructor.

    37. United Nations Service Medal

      Awarded to a member who participates in 5 or more operations during a campaign that involves the United Nations.

    38. Navy Expert Rifle

      Awarded for to members who complete a perfect score during rifle qualifications.

    39. Navy Sharpshooter Rifle

      Awarded for to members who complete a rifle qualification with 5 or less misses.

    40. Navy Expert Pistol

      Awarded for to members who complete a perfect score during pistol qualifications.

    41. Navy Sharpshooter Pistol

      Awarded for to members who complete a Pistol qualification with 5 or less misses.

    Citations

    1. Presidential Unit Citation

      This award is awarded to the Unit for gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions.

    2. Navy Unit Commendation

      This award is award to the Unit for outstanding heroism in action against the enemy or extremely meritorious service (non-combat) in support of military operations.

    3. Gallant Unit Commendation

      Awarded to the Unit for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy of the United States of America.

    4. Meritorious Unit Commendation

      This award is awarded to the Unit for valorous or meritorious achievement or service, or exceptionally meritorious conduct and outstanding achievement or service, in combat or non-combat.

    5. Oustanding Unit Award

      This award is awarded to the Unit for exceptionally meritorious service, accomplishes specific acts of outstanding achievement, excels in combat operations against an armed enemy of the United States, or conducts with distinct military operations involving conflict with, or exposure to, a hostile action by any opposing foreign force

    6. Patrol Achievement Award

      Awarded to personnel within a patrol for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity while out in the field or on base.

    7. 5 Year Anniversary

        Awarded to the Unit for it's five year anniversary of it's formation.

    8. 4 Year Anniversary

      This award is awarded to the Unit for it's four year anniversary of it's formation.

    9. 3 Year Anniversary

      This award is awarded to the Unit for it's three year anniversary of it's formation.

    10. 2 Year Unit Anniversary

      This award is awarded to the Unit for it's two year anniversary of it's formation.

    11. 1 Year Unit Anniversary

      This award is awarded to the Unit for it's one year anniversary of it's formation.

    12. Valorous Unit

      This award is awarded to the Unit for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy of the United States of America.

    Insignia

    1. Seal Trident

      After completing BUD/S a SEAL earns his trident by consistently demonstrating high standards. His communication is timely and reliable. His awareness in and out of the field is keen. He puts the safety of his team and the mission ahead of his own comfort and convenience. He is a regular participant in operations and training. His proficiency as a special warfare operator is honed through the satisfactory completion of

      • Airborne Training Phases 1-4
      • Heavy Weapons Operator Training
      • Radio Operator Training  
    2. Special Underwater Demolition Badge

      Awarded to all members of the unit upon completing BUD/S

    3. Navy Parachutist Badge

       

       

      Awarded to members who complete all four phases of Navy parachutist training and thereafter perform at least one combat jump

    4. Heavy Weapons Specialist Badge

       

       

      Awarded to members who complete Heavy Weapons training and thereafter use these skills in at least one combat mission

    5. Radio Specialist Badge

      Awarded to members who complete Basic Radio Communications training and thereafter use these skills in at least one combat mission
